It offers financial incentives to taxable Canadian corporations investing in eligible clean technology properties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Eligibility Criteria:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Eligible Investors<\/strong>:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Taxable Canadian corporations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Members of a partnership, where all members are taxable Canadian corporations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Eligible Property<\/strong>:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Renewable Energy Equipment<\/strong>:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Solar, wind, and water energy generation equipment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Electricity storage equipment (excluding those using fossil fuels).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Heating and Vehicle Equipment<\/strong>:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Active solar heating equipment, air-source, and ground-source heat pumps.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Non-road zero-emission electric and hydrogen-powered vehicles and related charging\/refueling equipment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Geothermal and Solar Energy Equipment<\/strong>:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Equipment for generating heat\/electricity from geothermal energy (excluding systems extracting both geothermal heat and fossil fuels).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Equipment for generating energy from concentrated sunlight.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Nuclear Fusion Equipment<\/strong>:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Equipment generating energy from nuclear fusion.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Waste Biomass Systems<\/strong> (effective November 21, 2023):\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Systems producing electricity\/heat from waste biomass.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Conditions<\/strong>:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Property must be new and situated in Canada for exclusive use in Canada.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For leased properties, the lessee must be a taxable Canadian corporation or a qualifying partnership.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Equipment must be leased in the ordinary course of business.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Tax Credit Details:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Refundable Tax Credit<\/strong>:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>30% for property acquired and available for use from March 28, 2023, to December 31, 2033.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>15% for property acquired and available for use in 2034.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No credit for property acquired and available for use after 2034.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Labour Requirements<\/strong>:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Must pay covered workers according to or similar to a collective agreement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At least 10% of labour must be performed by registered apprentices in Red Seal trades.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Non-compliance with labour requirements reduces the tax credit rate by 10 percentage points.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Recapture of Tax Credit:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The tax credit may be recaptured if within 20 years the property:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Is converted to non-clean technology use.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Is exported from Canada.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Is disposed of by the taxpayer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Expansion Proposal (2023 Fall Economic Statement):<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Inclusion of systems producing electricity and\/or heat from waste biomass.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Effective for eligible property acquired and available for use on or after November 21, 2023.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This structured incentive aims to support the growth and adoption of clean technologies, promoting environmental sustainability
